How to choose the size of carbide rotary file

- Apr 13, 2019-

Rotary files are generally used with high-speed electric grinders or pneumatic tools, and can be used for a variety of production requirements, such as processing cast iron, cast steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, hardened steel, copper and aluminum.

Size classification of rotary file:
1. Standard rotary file
The length of the handle is a common specification for operation. The diameter of the handle (D2) is mainly 3mm, 6mm, 8mm, or 2.35mm.
2. Small rotary file
This rotary file head diameter is small, the general shank diameter is 3mm. Because of its high concentricity, it is more suitable for precision station parts dressing and so on.
3. Rotary file with lengthened handle
The length of the handle can be lengthened according to the special working conditions, generally there are 75mm, 100mm, 150mm, 300mm. Especially suitable for processing difficult to contact or deep areas. The longer the lengthened handle, the better, because the longer it is, the more vibration it will cause during grinding operation, which will affect the operation effect.

When selecting the size, the rotary file can be selected according to the requirements of the operation, and protective glasses must be worn when using.
